Rena Sofer

  

Rena Sherel (born on December 2 in 1968) is an American actress. Her performances include daytime television or episodic guest appearances and TV-produced films. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award for her performance of Lois Cerullo in the soap opera General Hospital. She played the role Quinn Fuller in the CBS soap production The Bold and the Beautiful from 2013 to 2022.




 Early life


 Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) who was a psychologist, and Martin Sofer, an Orthodox Rabbi.




 She moved with her dad as well as her brother David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in the year 1970. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. The family was brought up in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She went on to attend the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish high school in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer resided in North Bergen, New Jersey, where her father was the synagogue's rabbi Temple Beth El. Sofer graduated from North Bergen High School and then attended Montclair State College.




 Career


 Television during the daytime


 Lois Marie Cerullo was the first Lois Marie Cerullo that Sofer performed with on General Hospital. Her first appearance came in 1993, as a manager of a band. Her first big-name role was Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap show Loving (1988-91).
